Covid-19 Update 2023

There have now been over 11.5 million cases of COVID-19 reported in Australia since the start of the pandemic and over 20,800 deaths. 

Since the start of 2023, there have been over 557,000 reported cases and more than 2,600 deaths.

ATAGI recommends that a 2023 COVID-19 booster dose should be given 6 months or more after the most recent COVID-19 vaccine dose or confirmed infection. Vaccination remains one of the most important tools to prevent severe illness from COVID-19, particularly moving into winter.
